Nursing Colleges in Haryana
If you are searching for nursing colleges in Haryana, start with recognition — not advertisements. This page explains how to verify B.Sc, GNM and ANM colleges, where UHSR and the Haryana Nurses Council fit, and what to check in Rohtak, Gurugram and other districts.
How college recognition works
A nursing college in Haryana should appear on the Haryana Nurses Council recognised-institute list for that course. Degree programmes should also sit under UHSR or another university named in the prospectus. Indian Nursing Council status is the national layer on top of the state list.
Ask the college for its recognition letter and match the name, address and course exactly. Similar sounding trusts and “new wings” are a common source of confusion during admission season.
B.Sc, GNM and ANM colleges
B.Sc Nursing colleges are fewer and usually tied to UHSR counselling. GNM and ANM schools are more spread out and typically come through council counselling. Do not assume a campus that offers GNM also has a recognised B.Sc seat — those are separate permissions.
Rohtak, Gurugram and other districts
Rohtak is the academic centre of the state for health sciences: UHSR and PGIMS sit there, so many B.Sc Nursing searches start with “nursing college in Rohtak”. That does not mean every Rohtak-area private campus is recognised — still check the list.
Gurugram (Gurgaon) has a large hospital market, so students often look for a nursing college in Gurgaon for clinical exposure. Hisar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Ambala also have training centres that students consider for travel and hostel reasons. For each city, the useful questions are the same: Is this course recognised? Where do students do clinical duty? What does the current prospectus say about fees?
Nursing Culture will not publish dozens of nearly identical city pages. If we add a city guide later, it will include local hospital attachments, travel notes and verified institute names — not the same paragraph with the city swapped.
After you shortlist a college
Return to the matching admission page, keep documents ready, and use notes plus previous year papers so you are not arriving at campus unprepared. Free nursing classes from Nursing Culture continue after admission.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know a nursing college in Haryana is genuine?
Open the recognised-institute list on the Haryana Nurses Council website and confirm the course (ANM, GNM, B.Sc, Post Basic or M.Sc). For university degrees, also check UHSR affiliation. If a campus is missing from both, do not pay a counselling or capitation fee.
Which is the best B.Sc Nursing college in Haryana?
“Best” depends on recognition, hospital attachment, fees and your rank. PGIMS Rohtak is the flagship government campus, but several affiliated colleges also run recognised B.Sc Nursing programmes. Compare the live seat matrix rather than paid “top college” lists.
Are there GNM and ANM colleges outside Rohtak?
Yes. Recognised training centres operate across Haryana, including Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Ambala districts. Recognition is statewide — a city name in an ad is not enough.
